Attic Mitigation and Water Damage Restoration in Novi, MI

Challenge

The homeowner discovered water damage inside their attic due to improper ventilation. This caused the sheathing and trusses to become wet. During the inspection, water staining was visible in areas that had been affected for weeks.

Solution

The On-Site team responded and, upon inspection, identified that the discolored sheathing and trusses needed to be cleaned. They found and fixed the source of the problem. To dry the attic, dehumidified warm air was ducted in to provide heat. After the cleaning to remove discoloration was completed, additional equipment was set up to dry as necessary. An air scrubber was also used in the room with the attic access. Once all areas were cleaned and dry, the equipment was removed.
